Why we chose it
We picked this Piquot for a small moment of theatre: the blue-and-gold moon display gives an otherwise familiar dress watch a different mood. Roman numerals and a two-tone case make a composed frame for it. The name on the dial is not the main attraction here. We like what the design does.

The design
The display at twelve gives the dial a focal point, while the date at six provides a quieter counterweight. We like the way the watch makes space for both. The moon brings colour and a little imagination; the calendar brings it back to everyday life. There is warmth in the gold tones, but enough steel to keep the overall impression easy to wear. That balance is what drew us to it: a watch with a little ceremony, without asking for an occasion.
