Luminant begins with design: a shape, a proportion, or a small detail that makes an everyday object worth paying attention to.

In Luminant Studio, that curiosity takes the form of watches. We choose pieces for the way they are put together and the way they feel to wear. Sometimes it is an unusual silhouette. Sometimes it is a familiar form with one detail that gives it a different character.

Why this watch?

That is the question behind every selection. We look at how the parts relate: a curve repeated in the dial, a bracelet that belongs to the silhouette, a contrast that gives the whole composition its balance. Our descriptions invite you into that thought process.

You do not need to know a reference number or a movement by heart to appreciate a watch. An interest in its design is a good place to start. We give you the history, proportions and practical details to help you decide whether it belongs on your wrist.
