Why we chose it
We chose the Médor because it makes checking the time a small event. Closed, it reads as a piece of jewellery; opening the pyramid reveals the watch inside. We love that change of character. It is playful, a little unexpected, and a reminder that useful objects can also give us something to enjoy.

The design
The pyramid gives the design its confidence. Its sharp planes sit against the softness of the leather strap, so the watch has a strong shape without needing a busy face. Open the cover and the white dial offers a quieter second impression. That relationship is why it belongs in Luminant Studio. The cover is not just decoration added to a watch: it changes how you use it, how it looks on the wrist and how much it chooses to reveal.
A little context
Hermès introduced the Médor watch in 1993. Its jewellery-like form gives that decade a distinctive voice: bold hardware outside, a discreet time display within. Our example is dated broadly to the 1990s rather than to a confirmed individual year.
