Why we chose it
We chose this Celine because it has a slightly dressed-up point of view without losing its ease. The warm dial and Roman numerals set the tone, while a small seconds display gives the face a second place to look. It feels considered at a scale you can wear every day. The design
The Roman numeral ring gives the dial a clear frame. Within it, the small seconds at six breaks up the surface just enough to make the composition more interesting. We like that shift in scale: the main hands tell the time, while the smaller display adds a little rhythm. The gold tones keep those details connected. A black leather strap gives the watch a simple outline and makes room for the dial to do the talking. The appeal is in these choices working together.

Dated to the 1990s in the acquisition, this Celine brings traditional dress-watch cues into a fashion-house watch. Roman numerals and a separate seconds display give it an older vocabulary, while the quartz movement keeps the everyday interaction straightforward.
